MADAGASCAR AT RED BRANCH THEATRE COMPANY

By Amanda N. Gunther

“Comic trouble arrives in the form of four fiasco-causing Penguins: Private (Angeleaza Anderson), Skipper (Liliana Evans), Rico (Sarah Luckadoo), and Kowalkski (Molly Mayne.) These four females double-up as Lemurs and other things throughout the performance but their most notable and memorable roles are that of the aforementioned penguins. Whether its breaking out of the zoo, hijacking the boat, or just generally causing mayhem, this quartet of animated expressive performers add to the humorous nature of the show tremendously.”

Review: Madagascar, A Musical Adventure at Red Branch Theatre Company

By Jason Crawford Samios-Uy

“The Penguins are probably some of the most popular characters in this piece and Liliana Evans as Skipper, Angeleaza Anderson as Private, Sarah Luckadoo Rico, and Molly Mayne as Kowalski give a hilarious showing as these determined arctic fowls. They have a brilliant chemistry and work well together. Each actor portrays the individuality of each character and give the Penguins a near perfect balance of hard-nosed, military purpose and compassion for their fellow animals. Kudos to Evans, Anderson, Luckadoo, and Mayne on their wonderful performances.

BWW Review: BAD JEWS at Vagabond Players (Broadway World)

“Mayne does a commendable job playing this vapid character - her rendition of "Summertime" was particularly entertaining."

Theatre Review: Small House, No Secrets (B.I.T.R. Sisters)

“Young Liz is portrayed by Molly Mayne.  Her adorable and a little too squeaky clean catholic girl persona is in sharp contrast to the Liz seen in the 2007 era (Wasno).  I believe these were done intentionally. Someone paid keen attention to making sure the younger versions looked like very viable depictions of the actresses younger selves.  But they are so young and naïve and unencumbered! The older ones have put up with everyone’s judgements and bullshit to the point of no return.”

Review: ‘Bad Jews’ at the Vagabond Players (DC Metro Theater Arts)

By Mara Bayewitz

“Molly Mayne is just perfect as Melody, with straight blonde hair, a barrette, and a giant tattoo of a musical note on her leg “to remind me that I love music.” She plays the innocent, corn-fed ivory girl with charm and energy, and strikes a balance with Steuerman’s Daphna that makes their scenes engaging and tense.”

Theatre Review: ‘Bad Jews’ at Vagabond Players (MD Theatre Guide)

By: Timothy David Copney

“As the lone gentile, gentle Shiksa (look it up, non-Jews) Melody, Molly Mayne is a delightful ray of sunshine even when she is attempting to assert herself.  Blond, blue-eyed and perky as a lemon meringue pie, she is lovely and cluelessly funny when she attempts to sing “Summertime” from “Porgy and Bess.””

Curious George cooks up good fun at Red Branch Theatre Co. (Baltimore Sun)

“Mayne, who also shines in “A Buddy Like You,” delivers excellent vocal performances as the passionate Chef Pisghetti. The actress crosses genders to portray the chef with ease, and her Italian accent (with dialect coaching by Sierra Young) is consistently good.”
