About Molly

Molly Mayne is an actor and singer from Bettendorf, Iowa. She was introduced to the theatre at a young age when her grandparents took her to musicals in the Quad Cities, and has been in love ever since.

She got her start acting at Davenport Junior Theatre, and continued to perform  throughout her time at Bettendorf High School.

She received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She was very active in the theatre community, working on shows around Des Moines as well as in school.

Molly has a passion for costume design and construction, and worked as a teaching assistant in the costume shop. She also has been the Stage Manager for musicals in both Iowa and Maryland. (Technical resume available upon request.)

Molly loves to share her love of the arts with younger generations by performing theatre for young audiences and teaching drama. She has worked as a teaching artist for multiple organizations, such as Davenport Junior Theatre, Ankeny Community Theater, and Drama Learning Center. Her goals as a teaching artist include encouraging creativity and higher-level thinking to increase performance and life skills for young actors, and enriching student’s minds and bodies through interactive dramatics, developing confident problem-solvers and trained members of the theatre community. Molly received her Masters of Arts in Teaching from UMBC in 2022. She currently holds her teaching certification Secondary Education and Theatre in the state of Maryland and is employed with Baltimore County Public Schools.

In 2017, Molly moved to Baltimore to work as a Performance and Arts Education apprentice at Red Branch Theatre Company in Columbia, MD.
